Wi-Fi Campus

Ubiquitous Wi-Fi across an enterprise or campus is a very positive and exciting experience for our students, faculty, staff and visitors to our institution.

The entire campus including class rooms, computer labs and library is fully Wi-Fi providing 24x7connectivity to each student at no extra charge. SASIIT has secured network with Firewall, Antivirus & Anti spam with a dedicated back up team. Over 500 computers on-campus are connected to the internet through broadband connections and class rooms are fully equipped with Wi-Fi enabled projectors and latest teaching aids.

Library

A fully air conditioned, computerized library is well equipped with over 7000 books on array of subjects ranging from Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Soft Skills development and several volumes on fiction and non - fiction .

The library caters over 75 National and International Magazines, Periodicals and Journals and 17 newspapers. The library functioning is facilitated by a computerized catalogue for online reference. There is an exclusive reference section where valuable books are accessible. There is an additional reading hall where library members can study and prepare notes.

Computer Labs

The Computer Labs are artistically and ergonomically designed, where students get an opportunity to develop their skills according to the global needs and international standards. State of art computer software labs with multimedia projection systems and computer hardware labs comprising several microprocessor and digital trainer kits. SASIIT&R has high-end computing and network resources for the academic and research programs. The students and staff have access to software tools and systems to execute real-life projects.

The institute strives to make learning more creative, interactive and information driven by using sophisticated computer techniques. The Centre would offer training and software development apart from being a support service for the faculty, students and staff. The computer laboratories across the campus house over a three hundred computers for use of students and staff.

The labs are set to create specialist environment required for students. Computer Centre supports Core 2 Duo Nodes and High End Servers connected through latest switches. Internet and Intranet network facilities supported by high quality software based on curriculum and global requirements, along with latest operating systems, allowing the students not only to develop their skills but also access the internet for convenient internal as well as external communication with the cyber world, the college provides free access to Internet to its students through 4 Mbps leased line connectivity. Other peripherals such as Laser printers, Scanners etc. also support the needs of the users.

Sports

At SAS we are committed to the overall growth of the students. Along with the academics participation is sports is also equally emphasised.

Courts for Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and Cricket are available in the campus. Indoor games facilities have also been provided which include Table Tennis and Other board games.

Annual Sports Day is organised by the college where competitions for various track and field events, cricket, volleyball, badminton and others are organised.

Transportation

Transport facility is provided to students and staff from their residence to the institute and back Monday through Friday. We have buses that ply on pre-decided routes from Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.
 
The out of station students are encouraged to obtain their bus passes.

Hostel

The Institute provides excellent hostel facility within the campus for the girl students who wish to avail the campus residential facility. The hostel houses about 125 students based on single and double occupancy.

Students residing in hostel premises can avail state-of- art infrastructure. A dedicated line with 4Mbps speed with Wi-Fi facility is there in hostel premises in order to cater the Web browse need of the students. Hostels are well equipped with mess, canteen, indoor / outdoor recreational facilities. There is a generator backup for the hostels in case of break in power supply. The hostel mess is fully cooperative where the students help in deciding menus weekly.

Regular check ups for minor diseases, consultation and medicines are provided free of charge. In case of emergency, doctor attends patient immediately & shift to specialize hospital under his supervision, if required.
The hostel is provided with round the clock caretakers and other essential staff. The hostel Advisory committee monitors overall organization of hostels & provides guidelines time to time. With personal attention and supervision, a clean, healthy and cheerful atmosphere is maintained in the hostel.
