IT Centre

  • MBA: The campus has a contemporary computer lab with the most up-to-date Pentium4 machines and multimedia equipment. A total of roughly 150 PCs are connected through LAN. Students have access to a dedicated broadband Internet connection that provides a window to the rest of the world. The computer lab has the latest licensed software versions such as Microsoft Office, Windows NT, SPSS, and Publisher 3. The institution has a dedicated system for managing the organisation's functional management.
  • MCA: SCMS School of Technology and Management has a contemporary computer lab with the most up-to-date PCs and multimedia systems. For MCA students, there are roughly 100 PCs connected in a LAN. Students have access to a leased line Internet connection, which gives them a window to the rest of the world. The SSTM Cochin facilities include a computer lab with hardware, software, and a dedicated server room with powerful IBM servers running Windows, AIX, and Linux operating systems, installations of various open-source programming languages, Oracle, visual studio, firewall, anti-virus, and content keeper.

Library

  • The School of Communication and Management Studies library offers access to the latest information. It has subscribed to many important publications in management, computer applications, marketing, finance, human resources, and management development. 
  • Economics, business strategies, operations management, and information technology are covered in this course. 
  • Students will also have access to the School of Communication and Management Studies library, which includes a large range of multimedia CD ROMs and video films on a variety of themes in addition to a large number of books on management and related disciplines. 
  • It is divided into four divisions and library halls: MBA, MCA, M.Sc, and B.Com.
  • The library also publishes 226 journals, including international journals such as Harvard Business Review, Fortune, and BusinessWeek, and many national and international journals such as Dr Dobb's Journal, Linux Journals, Systems Management, and the International Journal of Computer Science and Software Technology. 
  • Along with text and reference books, the School of Communication and Management Studies library has modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROMs, e-journals, books, journals, periodicals, encyclopaedias, and entire reference books.

Hostel: School of Communication and Management Studies hostel provides its students with well-equipped accommodation facilities. The male hostel has a capacity of 450 students, while the female hostel has a capacity of 356 students. The School of Communication and Management Studies hostels have a mess, which serves high-quality meals. There are both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms available. It offers a full-service cafeteria that caters to all students' needs. All-female and male students who choose to remain in the hostel will be given quality lodging. MBA students who live with their parents within a 15-kilometre radius are day scholars. To use this service, they must show proof of residency. Staying in a hostel is not required for MCA, M.Sc, or B.Com students.

Student Recreational Facility: Sports and games facilities at the college include a basketball court, volleyball court, and a fully equipped gymnasium with a dedicated professional trainer. Students are taught Kalaripayittu to improve self-defence skills.
