Facilities at SEAT

Indoor Auditorium

SEAT world class air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000. The hall mark of this structure is its interior design and sound system.

SEAT boasts of its wonderful and Ultra Modern “Indoor Auditorium” which is a well furnished spacious Auditorium. It has a seating capacity of 1000. It is equipped with the latest Audio – Video Visual system which enhances the effect of Conferences, Seminars, Symposiums and other Cultural events.

The elegant E-Learning Seminar Hall

One of the unique futuristic features of SEAT is its ‘e’-Learning Seminar Hall where critical and complex concepts of engineering and administrative lectures and engaged by using visual aids, adapting advanced tech systems. SEAT conducts forums, topical seminars and debates in this Seminar Hall. As part of its cutting – edge methodology, SEAT invites eminent and emeritus professors from reputed institutions to technologically enlighten the students.

Computer Center

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is fully equipped with the state of the art laboratories having only HP and DELL Machines. The department has 8 Servers (3-LINUX, 5-WINDOWS 2003 including 3 Backup Servers with x200 series and x205 series) connected to 282 P-IV nodes.

The Computer Labs are artistically and ergonomically designed, where students get an opportunity to develop their skills according to the global needs and international standards. ASTRAL has high-end computing and network resources for the academic and research programs. The students and staff have access software tools and systems to execute real-life projects.

The institute strives to make learning more creative, interactive and information driven by using sophisticated computer techniques. The Centre would offer training and software development apart from being a support service for the faculty, students and staff. The computer laboratories across the campus house over a seven hundred computers for use of students and staff. Students are encouraged to make full use of the facility for academic learning besides training themselves in modern computer applications and software skills.

The labs are set to create specialist environment required for students of Engineering. Computer Centre supports Core 2 Duo Nodes and High End Servers connected through latest switches. Internet and Intranet network facilities supported by high quality software based on curriculum and global requirements, along with latest operating systems, allowing the students not only to develop their skills but also access the internet for convenient internal as well as external communication with the cyber world, the college provides free access to Internet to its students through 512 kbps connectivity, the local Intranet, a 100 MBPS switched network, provides an interactive platform for sharing resources and building communities. Other peripherals such as Laser and Dot Matrix printers, Scanners etc. also support the needs of the users.

Library

Library and Information centre, is one of the best engineering college libraries in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The institute has a spacious CENTRAL LIBRARY, accommodating Circulation Books, book bank Books, News Papers, Back Volumes of the Periodicals, Reference Books, Current Periodicals, etc. It has a modern infrastructure with a reading capacity of 500 students.

It has the collection of 30,000 volumes of books. It has subscribed to more than 60 online journals of Engineering and Administration and it is subscribing more than 56 Indian Journals & Magazines in print.

Library & Information Centre provides uncompromising information and intellectual requirements to its students and faculty with a user-friendly approach. It offers a fully integrated and dynamic environment for conducting academic study. Multiple copies ensure that resources are easily available in Reference Section and Stock Section as well. Besides this, it provides Lending of books and journal back volumes, reservation of books, photocopying, CD/DVD and Internet services, etc

• Circulation takes place through Barcode system.

• A modern digital library network with high speed internet access is also housed in the premises.

• E- Journal (Springer link) is available in our college.

• Separate Sections for Reference Material, Book Bank, Periodicals, and Project Reports are provided for easy access.

Hostel

SEAT provides state of the art architecture hostel facilities and accommodation for its students in peaceful and serene environment far distant from the noise and other pollutions. The architecture is modern with wide windows to provide the natural light and air ventilation.

The Hostels have their own dinning hall facility. The management is under Dean, Students Affairs, Chief Warden, and Wardens. The hostel have impeccable security system for Boys and Girls.

Adequate in-campus accommodation for all categories of students is:

• Three hundred seater new Boys hostel is fully operational

• Two hundred and forty six new Girls hostel is fully operational

Drinking Water : All Hostels have current latest technology R. O. Mineral Drinking Water Plant attached with Water Cooler to provide pure and healthy water to students.

Rooms Setup: All the Hostel rooms are twin-sharing with each room has its own Bathroom. Every room is equipped with modern furniture like bed, almirah, study table, chair, book-shelf etc for each students.

Sports

The college has spacious play grounds to encourage the students in their fields of interest. We encourage sports activities and also give equal priorities.

The college provides ample opportunity for the students to take part in all indoor and outdoor sports activities. Sports complex is located adjacent to the college and has facilities for playing and practicing Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton Football and Cricket. Our Cricket ground is laid to international standards.

A well-equipped gymnasium including a multi gym is being planned to be kept open throughout the day. Inter college tournaments, inter class matches and annual athletic meet are regular features in the sports section. Many of the students represent the university and the state in various sports.
