Infrastructure :
The architecture is excellent, and the college spreads over 25 acres of land. The institute maintains an air of congeniality to encourage students’ academic activities. There are vast lecture halls and lecture theatres which are well equipped with all audio and visual aids to encourage student studies. The central library is very large consisting of a large number of journals and books. The library can facilitate 150 people in a single time. The Institute uses all modern aids like computers and internet to enhance the teaching ways. The auditorium is large enough to facilitate 750 people at a single time. The seminar hall has seat for 45, and the conference room is 42 seated. It provides hostel facilities to about 600 students. It is supplied with power and water throughout the day. The dining hall or the mess has a seat for 300 students. Other facilities in the hostel include badminton courts, internet facilities, television rooms, etc.
The Institute is well equipped with all modern day facilities; it has a state of the art infrastructure. The faculty is well experienced and realizes the necessity of inspiration for young minds. The Institute has expert faculty consisting of about 323 members. The auditorium of the institute is another good feature to add to. It has a seating capacity of 750 people at a single time. The central library is well updated with all the necessary courses books, updated periodicals and magazines. In all, the campus is quite vast and covers a sufficient land space of about 25 acres.
Hostel:
Manipal University has a separate hostel facilities provided for students at both it's campuses i.e technical campus at Majitar and Medical campus at Tadong Sikkim. All the hostels services provided have best state of the arts facilities to make student comfortable far from their homes. All the hostels are under the supervision of their respective Chief wardens.The hostel provides a cot, mattress, study table, chair, book rack and wardrobe for each student. Every hostel has uninterrupted electricity, hot water facility during winter period, water cooler with Aquaguard filters, recreation hall, gymnasium and indoor games facilities.The Institute is fully residential. All undergraduate students are required to stay in the hostel. Only permanent local residents are exempted. The nine storeyed building houses 200 rooms.
Laboratory:
There are 9 Laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment. The dissection hall is large enough for 150 students to work simultaneously. All departments are provided with computers. Internet facilities are available in the college and central library.
Library:
The institute has a well equipped library which caters to the needs of students and teachers. Besides course related books, the library also stocks general books. The Institue is also member of Developing Library Network (DELNET) Consortium which provides on-line access to leading libraries in the country. The college subscribes to a large number of leading professional journals in the relevant fields. The Institute is also a member of INDEST- AICTE Consortium and thus has on line access to most of the leading journals in the field of technology like IEEE, ASME, Elsevier (Science Direct), Digital Engineering, McGraw Hill E-Section, EBSCO (Management), ASTM etc. It also houses an audio visual section and offers internet connectivity. The library remains open from 08.00 AM to 08.00 PM everyday and from 09.00 AM to 04.00 PM on Sundays. There is a cyber cafe to provide internet facility, the hostels have been provided Wi-Fi connectivity.
Classroom: There are 4 lecture halls equipped with modern audio-visual teaching aids.
