Bunts Sangha's S.M. Shetty College of Science, Commerce and Management Studies is an affiliated college of the University of Mumbai. It was established in 2008 by the Mumbai-based Bunts Sangha Charitable Trust. SM Shetty College offers a number of UG and PG courses in the disciplines of Science, Commerce, Management and Media Studies. It currently offers B.Com, BAF, BBI, BMS, BMM and B.Sc. in IT programs at the UG level. At the PG level, the institute offers M.Com and M.Sc. in IT. Candidates must register with the University of Maharashtra before applying at the institute level. Candidates appearing/ appeared in the final year exam of the qualifying program are also eligible to apply. 50% of the total seats for each program are reserved for students whose mother tongue is Tulu. For UG courses, candidates must have passed 10+2 with 45% marks from a recognized board to be eligible for admission. For M.Com and M.Sc, candidates must have a B.Com and B.Sc degree respectively with 45% marks. Admission to UG and PG courses is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam.

.Candidate holding a 3-year Diploma in IT/ CS/ Computer Engineering/ Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering/ Civil & Allied Engineering with 45% marks are eligible to Lateral Entry (Direct Admission) to the second year of the B.Sc. IT program. Candidates applying for B.Sc. IT must have studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level. The fee structure will be as per the college norms.

SM Shetty College of Science, Commerce & Management Studies offers 2-year M.Com and M.Sc in IT at the PG level.

SM Shetty College of Science Commerce & Management Studies PG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, and Admission Criteria

The basic eligibility to apply for M.Com and M.Sc is a B.Com and B.Sc (IT) degree from a recognized university with 45% aggregate marks. Admission to both courses is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree. The fee structure will be as per the college norms.

The application process for admission to degree courses offered by the college is done as per University of Mumbai guidelines. Prospective candidates can register online through the University of Mumbai website. The subsequent step is to apply at the college level. The application process in details is as follows:

• Candidates must visit the college campus and purchase the application form from the admission office by paying the application fee in cash.
• All relevant columns in the application form must be filled correctly with accurate details. The applicant must also ensure that the completed application form is duly signed and photograph attached, before submission.
• At the time of registration with the University of Mumbai, the candidates will receive a Submission Copy and a Student Copy of the registration form.
• The submission copy has to be attached to the application form of the institute, and the Student Copy must be retained by the candidate for future correspondence.

Note: Candidates from outside Maharashtra must submit their original Migration Certificate at IDOL (University of Mumbai) within the stipulated deadlines. They must obtain Eligibility Certificate from the University which must be submitted to the institute at the time of submission of the completed application form.
