Entrance Exams & Admissions :
Eligibility criteria was to have cleared PUC 2nd year in science. Through karnataka common entrance test (KCET) I got govt. seat in my engineering college. various colleges have different cutoffs for mechanical engineering according to college standards, my ranking was 49850 yet i got admission because of 371(j) reservation in 2015.
Placements & Internships :
I did one internship in inspira technologies, gadag and it was on creo design software. TCS, INFOSYS, PINCLICK, SANKALP SEMICONDUCTORS and many more companies hires students but most of them are related to IT and sales, mechanical students gets rare opportunities. average salary figures various from 2lac per annum to 4lac per annum and highest salary figures occurs in the range of 6-8lac per annum. only 30-40% of a batch gets placed. Alumni network is very good and college arranges alumni gathering for every 2-3 years and also has a alumni commetee.
Academics & Faculty :
college starts at 9:30am and ends at 5:30pm ( usually from 2:30pm we had practicals so ending time varies according to branch and semisters like 7th sem students don't have afternoon classes and saturday had training and placement). Quality and method of teaching is quite average when one considers overall, i have seen best proffesors and also the worst in my branch. Projects were quite good but the initial concepts of projects depends on students but later as it progresses most teachers helps students to make that project come to reality. first two internals of every semister are usually hard which inturn helps students in exams and the third one used to be easy to help students get more internal marks.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Every semister had different hostels but were really close to one another so that seniors and juniors can get to know each other well, college had both boys and girls hostel and both were highly secured. Hostels were clean and had Wi-Fi facility ( entire campus had Wi-Fi). Hostel fee was 30000 per year and mess fee was 15000 per year. since the college is located at remote place we didn't had option of PGs unless we go to lakshmeshwar (5km from college) where the PGs are available. College had canteen which served delicious food but was bit costly when compared to mess food. Quality of classrooms, labs, libraries and dining halls were excellent. We had digital library which had very fast internet connection for academic purposes. our college has attractive infrastructure ( trees surrounding grounds, hostel and the road in between in short theview was very poetic beauty).
Clubs & Associations :
I was a member of IPSIC club of college which was to support innovative ideas and help them to make it a reality. Ganesh festival, New year eve had special place in the heart of college management. For cultural programmes there was special student body which took care of it. Sports included cricket, football, kabaddi, throwball, volleyball, basketball and many more. i was a part of college cricket team for 2 years. management was very sport supportive. In general life in this college was one to be remebered for long time as i got another family there in the name of friends.
