Information Technology Lab

Computer center/labs fitted with state-of-the-art computing facilities are prized possession of SRGI. Computer Laboratories are equipped with more than 600 Intel Pentium - 4, HCL branded computers. The labs are spacious and well maintained to give students a valuable learning experience. In addition, the Computer Labs are equipped with high speed internet access, so that students can maintain a constant link with the world’s online academic and research related knowledge.

At periodic intervals, the software and hardware resources of the Computer labs are updated, so that students have an access to the latest in the world of technology.

Students are trained to develop Technical skills in various Software Domains : 

Lecture Halls

For maintaining a high degree of learning and attentiveness of students, the lecture halls have been solicitously designed. They are spacious, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing with excellent acoustics. Each hall is equipped with multimedia projectors, OHPs, LCD panels and PA system which enable faculty members to have interactive sessions of teaching, which make the students confident and enthusiastic. The lecture rooms are airy and well ventilated to provide a healthy environment for effective interaction between teachers & students.

Library

Beyond the huge collection of books and journals, the SRGI library today has repository of voluminous information with special digital feature of speedy & easy access. Over 50,000 text books, large number of international & nationa journals , both print and electronic, an array of multimedia tools, CD’s, reprographic audio visuals and searchable data base these make learning not only satisfying but joyful also.

References are available to the students and faculty with the latest information in all forms: text and reference books, encyclopedias, periodicals, magazines, journals, CDs and video facility, for their intellectual nourishment. The Library also has an audio-video section, which contains educational software on CDs and lectures of eminent educationists on video cassettes.

An ambitious plan to make the library fully computerized is under process. A computer catalogue system, CD ROMs’ latest audio-visual equipment and an increased reading stock are some of the features of the SRGI modernization plan to be implemented in the coming year .

Language Lab

The language lab keeps itself updated with various software and training materials to ensure that all the facilities are at the students’ disposal. Equipped with the latest language software, audio-video clips, recorders and headphones, the lab also enriches itself with a wide screen television to run constant inspirational videos that leave effective impact on our students.

Our college has a blend of students from all around the country with ranges of dialects and MTI (Mother Tongue Influence). Keeping this in mind the Language centre has been developed with a module called the “7 E Skills”.

The 7 E-Skills, talks about the 7 essential skills that a candidate must possess, not only in bringing fluency in the language but also to update him with the corporate jargons tossed with rigorous activities to boost their confidence, thus molding them into young professional dynamics. The student’s progress is monitored from day one with regular feedback throughout the course. Thus, evolving in them confidence and tailor made professionals to suit the industry manpower requirements.

Workshop

To create something with one’s own hands and to understand exactly what it takes to make it work, is an important and integral part of modern education. The workshops at SRGI provide, for this purpose, an excellent collection of tools and implement them to facilitate even intensive project work. In addition, SRGI continuously procures new tools, implements and other equipment as and when necessary.

Seminar Halls

The institute has two state-of-the-art centrally cooled seminar halls with a seating capacity of three hundred people. The Seminar hall is equipped with the latest acoustic technology and sound systems. The seminar hall is the venue for various seminars, symposia and lectures by eminent personalities sharing their knowledge and views with the students of the Institute.

Hostel & Cafeteria

A multi-cuisine cafeteria, managed by reputed professional caterers is the highlight of campus life with a serene academic ambience. Cafeteria offers a variety of food items, in natural surroundings, at subsidized rates. The Cafeteria has been specially designed and furnished, so as to give students and faculty members a chance to interact in an informal setting.

SRGI has five separate hostel blocks; one for the girls and four for the boys. They are equipped with all the amenities to make students’ life comfortable.
Mess facility is available in a clean and hygienic environment. The menu is premeditated with the help of students and attempts to cater to the preferences of students.
