Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam is a women's university located in Tirupati. The Andhra Pradesh legislature established it as a state university in 1983 to provide professional education for women. At the foot of the Tirumala Hills, the campus of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam occupies 138 acres (56 hectares). It is named after the goddess Sri Padmavati, Lord Venkateswara's spouse. The campus is very beautiful and vibrant with all the basic facilities.
