Facilities :-

Central & Digital Library

The Library is housed in a unique Geodesic Dome that is aesthetically structured to act as an Energy Center providing inspiration for the students to get into reading habit. It has 4 floors on the reading side with a seating capacity of 500 and 5 floors on the stocking side to stock 1,00,000 books. At present the Library has 67,000 volumes and subscription to 156 National and International journals. It has a seperate fully air conditioned , Digital Library with a seating capacity of 40. The Institute is member of DELNET, and JCCC. The centre also has of collection of corporate annual reports pertaining to private / public sector undertakings and project reports on different areas of research. The library is laid out spaciously. Its eco-friendly environment provides calm and peaceful environment for learning.

Sports & Recreation

“Sound mind requires sound body” – to achieve this, SSIT encourages its students to take part in the sports activities. Students are trained under the guidance of qualified Physiacal Education Trainer & has achieved excellence in University and National level in sports activities.

Besides emphasizing on technical and academic excellence, the institute organizes various sports meets to give the students an opportunity to exhibit their athletic abilities on ground. It has created number of facilities for sports activity both in indoor & outdoor games.

Health Center

To serve the needy population of localities around the health center.

A furnished & well equipped primary health center having a plinth area of 360smt is suited in the campus. Health centre has well experienced qualified doctors & staffs. The facilities available in the health center are a minor operation theater, a preliminary testing laboratory & well furnished wards in case of emergency. All this facilities are extended to students, staffs & campus inmates. Health center covers the area which is coming under Tumkur CMC ward no. 29 & 30.

Canteen:

Well furnished canteen with attach high tech kitchen with all modern equipments can accomodated 150 members at a time, having seperate accomodation for staff & students.

Co-operative Society:

Will cater all the needs of students such as books, stationaries, cosmetics etc. Will work beyond the college hours.

Bakery:

Will cater the needs of students, Will work beyond the college hours till late nights to make students more comfortable.

Tele-Link Services:

Will provide need of students & provide STD, ISD provisions & also provides mobile services such as SIM cards, Mobile currencies & mobile phone equipments.

Xerox Center:

Will provide in house xeroxing & DTP works with subsidies rates for the students & staff, Will work beyond the college hours.

Post Office:

It provides daily needs for the students, staff & campus inmates.

Laundry:

It provides daily needs for the students & campus inmates.

Browsing Center:

Works most of time in a day facility & is mainly utilised by the students & staff, Will work beyond the college hours.

Hostels:

The Institute offers a separate hostels for Boys and Girls with well furnished rooms. We run our hostels in a green and peaceful environment which welcomes students. These hostels will accommodate more than 750 students comfortably. The hostel cleanliness comforts to ace hygiene standards. Mess facilities are also available to provide the hostlers with nutritions and quality food.

Bank:

A Syndicate bank having floor area of 250smt is suited in the entrance of the college campus. It provides basic needs for the students, staff & campus inmates. The facility extend by the bank are ATM & locker facility beyond its regular facilities.

Health Center:

A well furnished & euipped, a primary health center having a plinth area of 360smt is suited in the campus. A health will have well experienced & qualified doctors & staff. Guest House:

A well furnished guest house is sorrounded by lush green garden. The facilities available in the guest house are extended to aluminise & parents of the students with nominal charges.
