Facilities:

• The College is now having a 100Kv solar power supply funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India. Which is facilitating the teaching learning process of the college with uninterrupted power supply, especially the practical classes of Science Stream.

• The college is having an auditorium of its own which facilitate various cultural activity of the college.

• The college is having a Broadband connectivity from BSNL with 8Mbps of speed. Which facilitate the teaching learning activity of the college.

• The college is connected to National Knowledge Network through 10 dedicated high speed internet connection from BSNL under National Mission for Education.

• Some part of the college campus is covered under wify connectivity which facilitate the teacher to use internet on their mobile device and thus facilitate the teaching learning activity of the college.

• The college is having an automatic weather station, provided by Assam Science Technology and Environmental Council.

• A Dedicated Computer laboratory is also available in the college campus which was set up with the financial support from Department of Science and Technology under special FIST program for north east.

• Different Career Oriented Courses are offered by the college as an addon course to the student to prepare them as a skilled person for their future life.

• Hostel facility is also available in the college. At present the college has Boys & Girls Hostel Facility with 30 intake capacity altogether. Admission to hostel is based strictly on merit. Boarders are required to follow the rule and regulations of the hostel, breach of which will disqualify them from this facility.Hostel Superintendent : Mr. Debadutta Chakravarty, Associate Professor. • The college is also having a society for the nurturing and practice of science viz S. S. College Science Society. It has been set up with the motto “Common Sense At Its Best” to create scientific temperament and for bringing science closer to all the students. The college Science Society works towards the development of the college. It also provides its best services for the academic development of the students by conducting seminars, workshops and symposium from time to time.

• Students are entitled to “Travelling Concession” in Railways and Airways. They can apply for the same in proper forms during vacation from institution to destination & back.

• STUDENT AID FUND: There is a Students’ Aid Fund to provide aid to the needy students. The authority reserved the right of granting aid to student (s) whom the authority deem proper.

• The college is also having a big playground and well equipped science laboratories.

• The department of Bengali, English, Economics, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics and Zoology provide library and reference facilities in their departments / forum.

• The college has facilities of audio-visual interactions, seminars and symposiums. Various departments hold talks, symposiums, surveys etc. on pre-announced topics from time to time.
