Library

he fully automated library management system has become functional in the golden jubilee year. The library has an impressive collection of books,academic journals,popular magazines,newspapers, visual materials, online INFLIBNET database service, book bank etc.

To ensure maximum utilization of the various facilities provided by the library the following regulations are to be strictly observed.

• All students, staff and research scholars are members of the library.
• The library will be open from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on all working days.
• Silence must be strictly observed in the library.
• Entry is permitted with ID Card only and every student has to sign in the gate register before entering into the library.
• Reference books and journals will not be lent out.
• UG students can borrow a maximum of 4 books at a time and PG students 6 books.
• Books are issued for a maximum period of 14 days after which they can be renewed for 14 days more by bringing the books and ID card to the library.
• A fine of Rs.1 will be levied for each day after the due date.
• Books damaged or lost must be replaced or paid for by the borrower.
• All services of the library may be withheld to a user for violation of the regulations.

Renders financial assistance to the needy students.

Annual Medical Inspection

Every student of the college is made to undergo annual medical examination.For this,the services of qualified medical officers are made available.

Health Centre

Under the supervision of the Physical Education Department and with the financial aid of UGC,a Health Center with gym facilities functions in the college. Yoga and fitness classes are conducted here. The services and facilities of the Center are open to the students and the staff.

Computer Lab

Established with UGC assistance, for practicals of B Com, Voc Students. With the aim of imparting Computer and IT education to students, training programs are conducted for various batches of students. The services of the Jab are available to students, teachers, and the public.

Herbal Garden

Maintained and supervised by the Department of Botany, it is a rich collection of medicinal plants. It helps the students to understand and identify common as well as rare medicinal plants, their botanical names and their medicinal uses.

Workshop Facility

It functions directly under the supervision of the Physics Department of the college.The maintenance and repair of the electrical and electronic equipments especially is the work of this facility.The devices and equipments and the services of the workshop are open to the students and teachers.

Medical Aid Cell

The cell functions for ensuring the holistic health and welfare of the student community. It arranges many programs for the physical and mental health of the students in collaboration with Mary Queen’s Hospital, Kanjirapally. An MOU has been signed with the hospital for that purpose.Accordingly, the poor and needy students from the college will be given medical treatment in the hospital at a subsidised rate.

Language Lab

The College has a fully functional, state-of-the art Language Lab. It offers 20 well-equipped access points supported by sophisticated language software. It is accessible to all students and to the participants of language courses.
