Classrooms:

Classroom is said to be the place where the minds of the youths are ignited with the stimulus from the teachers who overcome the mere tag of being a teacher and become a mentor. Here all the studies as well as the interactive student teacher sessions are carried out. Thus classroom is an important aspect of any educational institution and we try to provide the best classroom facility to all the students of SIET. The classrooms are noise free and are ideal for proper concentration of the students.The classrooms are well equiped with overhead projectors and power-point projectors.It needs no mention that the classrooms are fully furnished with marble flooring and air conditioners.It has got two seater benches with proper desk facility. In totality the classrooms are yet another lucrative aspect of this institution.

Computing Facilities:

Computing facility or the lab facility of SIET are always provided to all the students of this institution. The computer rooms are totally air conditioned with ample computers that are upgrated with the latest version. The labs are all GPON enabled. Each student here are allotted with single computer. The computers here are LAN connected. There is internet facility 24*7. All the computers here contains latest hardwares and softwares. Computers here have multimedia softwares, project development and programming softwares that are very helpful for the students. Moreover it has got high speed devices for networking, Turbo C/C++, both Windows and DOS versions, Visual Studio 6.0, AUTO - CAD R – 2000 are installed for C Programming .All sorts of printing and scaning facilities are also provided to the students. In short the computer labs are fabulously prepared only for the betterment of the students of this institution.

Central Library:

The central library is an integral part of any educational institution and SIET is no exception. It has got a huge collection of books for the students and for all the subjects that are taught here.The approximate numbers of books are about twenty one thousand and above which is definitely not a less number. A student can issue two books at a time and can keep them for a fortnight.In any case of late submission of the issued books a nominal fine of Rs. 2 are taken per book per counted day. Those books can be again reissued on the returning date. The library contains the books of all the eminent writers and the most appropriate books regarding the courses offered here. Students never face any sort of problems in terms of issue of books. The library staffs are equally amicable with utmost friendly jesture towards the students

Social Welfare:

Rural Development Programme undertaken by SIAE: Two centres of SIAE will be launched at Purulia and Jhargram in the next phase. The work done in these two centres are as follows:

(i) Rural Development Centre:Purulia

SIAE is associated with Vidyasagar Foundation & Nodal Research Centre (NRC).Vidyasagar Foundation has established girl’s high school at Purulia: Vidyasagar Abasik Balika Vidyalaya.This school is especially for financially backward girls including tribal and minority girl children.SIAE supports the school financially and academically, qualified computer teachers has been appointed for imparting computer education to girl children by SIAE.The entire financial burden for imparting computer education has been borne by the SIAE with effect from 1st march 2007.SIAE also propose to bear the entire cost of running higher secondary division (Science only) for this school.

(ii) Rural Development Centre:Jhargram

SIAE propose to establish its own centre at Jhargram to impart technological education and other special education for rural development.SIAE has purchased 5 bighas of land at Jitusole Mouza under Jhargram for establishing a B.Ed college and other technological course along with various social welfare projects.

Canteen:

College canteen is the place where all the students gather for food and recreation. SIET provides a high class canteen with both vegetarian and non vegetarian food for the students. A wide variety of these food are obtained here. Here the cost of the food is also very cheap considering the various student grades and their economical backgrounds. Canteen facility is obtained by the students every day during the college duration. This is the place where the students not only gather to have food but also discuss about various issues related to curriculum as well as non curriculum. This is the fun place as well. Students have a lot of fun in the canteen like their “ adda sessions” , “ short debates” and “political discussions”.
