Library:

The Tamil University was started in the year 1981 and the University Library was also formed in the same year. The well-designed University Library, resembling Indian Parliament building, with more than 1, 70,000 books, journals (345) and monographs, caters to the needs of the students, research community and the public. The rare books of different reputed Tamil scholars are the important collections of this Library. The library is open to all for research and academic activities. This Library is not only for the teachers, non-teaching staff and students of this university, but also it helps as learning centre for the public to enhance their knowledge and develop reading habit.
