Library

The college library, providing service to our patrons, has been automated and us world class infrastructure faculties. With the state of the art equipment’s, we have a huge collection of information, which are available in digital format including audio/videos, apart from books and periodicals.

Reading Facility

The central library provides a sufficient space for reading purpose.

Audio Visual Facility/Multimedia Facility

The central library provides audio visual and multimedia facility to its users. One room specially designed meant for accessing reference databases, CD’s with books, CD’s with magazines etc. A reach collection of CD’s, Audio, Video cassettes, floppies etc., is arranged subject wise which can be found very easily.

E-Journals/Internet Access Facility

The central library extends its services to provide the access for internet and E-Journals. The library is subscribing E-Journals through INDEST consortium i.e.

Print Journal Facility

Library has been subscribing a lot of good journals in the field of engineering, technology, management and humanities. All latest journals can be referred within the library. Beside the current journal, library has a rich collection of bound journals.

Hostel

There are separate hostels for boys and girls which are well furnished, well ventilated, with all modern amenities. Nominal fees are collected in the hostel as rent and the mess fee is based on dividing system.

Hostels in academic institutions are the epicenter of the dynamics of the campus life. Spread over vast area and surrounded by green cover, encompassing gardens, inside and outside lawns, Trichy Engineering College Hostel, for over a half century has been providing fuel and force to the life and motion of College’s liberal democratic academic culture. Trichy Engineering College Hostel, with its architectural grandeur and aesthetics, has been an abode to many luminaries in a wonderful kaleidoscope that the time-space spectrum is.

Admissions are strictly on the basis of merit and the resident students are expected to maintain the spirit of camaraderie and dignity. The guiding principle for the Trichy Engineering College community has been to uphold democratic and egalitarian values and strive towards intellectual excellence.tuated next to the sports complex, the Hostel is a spacious structure with 119 rooms enclosing eight lawns with rose beds and hedges. The Hostel provides residential facilities to about two hundred undergraduate and postgraduate male students. The Common Room provides the residents recreational facilities such as Table-tennis, Carom-board, Chess-board, and a separate TV room apart from the newspapers and magazines to keep them on the qui vive.

The Hostel Office and the Warden’s Residence, located within the Hostel premises, are integral part of the Hostel. There are several employees to look after the daily chores in the hostel. They include an office clerk, a mess manager, mess/room bearers, cooks, watchmen, janitors, gardener and a few others for kitchen and pantry work. In addition, there is a dry cleaner and a newspaper vendor to provide services to the resident students.

Mess:

A spacious dining hall with seating capacity around 60 students at a time with kitchen equipments such as exhaust system, water cooler, water purifier plant, Chutney grinder, Mixer grinder and other essential utensils.

Waiting Hall:

Here the visitors, parents and other outsiders are allowed to wait.

Care taking:

The students are take care for 24 hours of every day by the Resident Warden and other teaching faculties stayed in hostel.

Other facilities:

Quality purified water is provided to the students using water purifier. The hostel is equipped with generator of 15KVA to provide students with no power loss. 24 hours security service is provided for the hostel. The students can relax themselves by involve in indoor or outdoor games such as chess, caroms, shuttle etc during their leisure time. For relaxation and news gathering, the students can make use of Television which is available within the Mess hall.

Canteen

Our college cafeterias of Trichy Engineering College, operate on a non-profit basis so they’re able to charge only for the raw ingredients. The menu usually rotates but on any given day the staff are churning out hundreds of the same meal for all students, which also helps to dramatically lower the cost. In Mess & Cafeteria of Trichy Engineering College, well trained and experienced Chef prepares a variety of purely vegetarian North Indian, South Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisines to suit the tastes of all students. Management members and senior faculty of TEC too share the food of both mess & cafeteria regularly to ensure that there is no let down in the quality. The dining hall is spacious, neatly maintained and can seat large number of students. Food is prepared and served in hygienic conditions. In order to ensure that there is no let up in the nourishment provided, a dietician guides the weekly menu and students who need special diet are also given advice. Day scholars and others who feel like having refreshments between classes can enjoy the snacks at the college cafeteria.

Transport

The fleet comprising of 18 buses are being operated in various routes for staff and students to commute to college with convenience. A full fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation.

Transportation and Parking Services offers the Trichy Engineering College community a single location for all transportation and parking information. Students, faculty, staff and visitors will find information on Trichy Engineering College parking rules and regulations, inter-campus transportation, commuting aids, maps, directions, and a host of links to the greater campus area.

Transportation and Parking Services coordinates and/or assists in the coordination of all transportation-related services and programs for special events, athletic events, handicapped access and parking, signage, way-finding, all rideshare activities, and many other related services. Additionally, we provide advisories that affect the TEC community's ability to park or get from one location to another on our three campuses and the several outlying properties that comprise Trichy Engineering College.

Computer & Internet Facility

A Total of 544 computers with latest configuration are available for student's use. Free internet facility has been provided with the band width of 10 Mbps to students and staff to keep abreast of the development in their interested area of subject.
