University College of Engineering Admission 2024: Check Admission Details

B.Tech:

The candidate should have passed 10+2 Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English as mandatory subjects for Universal College of Engineering admission 2024.

B.Tech [Lateral Entry]:

The candidate should have passed Diploma in any branch of Engineering and Technology from recognized Institute/ Institution of Punjab or from other states of India with minimum 60% marks for General & 55% marks for SC/ST & Disabled Persons.
Or
The candidate should have passed B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized Institution with 60% marks or equivalent grade point for Universal College of Engineering admission.

B.Tech:

The admission process will be based on marks secured in JEE Main Entrance Examination.

B.Tech [Lateral Entry]:

The admission process will be based on marks secured in the previous qualifying examination.

M.Tech [Computer Science Engineering]:

The candidates should have passed B.Tech Computer Science Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Information Communication Technology/ Software Engineering with minimum 60% marks for General and 55% marks for reserved category students for Universal College of Engineering admission 2024.

M.Tech [Mechanical Engineering]:

In order to get admission in Punjabi University, Patiala, the candidates should have passed B.Tech Mechanical/ Industrial/ Production/ Manufacturing/ Material Science/ Aeronautical or Automobile Engineering with minimum 60% marks for General and 55% marks for reserved category students.

M.Tech [Electronics & Communication Engineering]:

The candidates should have passed B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electrical / Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 60% marks for General and 55% marks for reserved category students for Universal College of Engineering admission.

The admission will be based on marks secured in Entrance Examination conducted by the University College of Engineering, Patiala.
Or
The admission process will be based on marks secured in GATE Entrance Examination.

• Application Procedure for Entrance Examination:

  • Register Online.

  • Fill in the Application Form.

  • Submit the Application Form online

  • Download the Admit Card.

  • Appear for the Entrance Exam.

  • Selected candidates will be called for Interview/ Counselling.

• Application Procedure for Merit-Based:

  • Register Online.

  • Fill in the Application Form Online.

  • Submit the Application Form.

  • Selected candidates will be called for Interview/ Counselling.

• General Application Process:

  • The application form is available on the Official Website of Universal College of Engineering, Patiala.

  • The candidate should Register with Name, E-mail ID, Mobile Number, Course selected.

  • The User ID and Password will be sent to the registered E-mail ID and Phone Number.

  • Note the User ID for further references in the future in case of emergency.

  • Pay the application fees of Rs.1000/- for General and Rs.700/- for SC/ ST category students in the following ways:

    • Online Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.

    • Pay-in-slip of State Bank of Patiala.

    • Punjabi University Cashier Receipt (Only at Patiala Campus)

  • Fill the Application Form with the Academic, Graduation, Reserved category details Etc and save the form. 

  • In case of any changes in the Application Form, the candidate can log in with User ID and Password provided to edit the form.

  • The registered candidates whose payment has been Confirmed can print their application forms for their personal record, using User ID and Password.
