Lucknow University campus has a huge majestic building which has been constructed on 75 acres of land. It offers state of the art facilities to students for a better learning experience. Sports Facilities: The university is dedicated to fostering a sports culture among students. The campus has two specialised fields for outdoor sports like football, cricket, volleyball, and athletics, as well as a basketball court. A sports field, badminton courts, and a basketball court are also available on the second campus.
Health and Medical Facilities: The Lucknow University infrastructure has a in-house medical services in the form of a dispensary since its inception. The dispensary offers free check-ups and medications to the faculty and students. An ambulance is also stationed at the University's Old Campus.
Canteens: There are five canteens on the old campus and three on the second campus that provide fresh and packaged meals. They serve students, faculty, workers, and visitors to the University with a choice of nutritious and low-cost meal options.
Child Care Centre: The Lucknow University has a child care centre to assist working moms (both teaching and non-teaching) in balancing their dual roles of home and work and reducing stress related to their child's welfare and well-being. It aspires to provide a welcoming, safe, and secure environment for the children of university employees. The university's employees benefit from such a facility since it provides monitoring and care for newborns and young children during the day, allowing their parents, particularly mothers, to work and continue to work at the University.
Yoga Centre: The yoga centre hosts programmes and therapeutic health camps centered around yoga and meditation. It also offers free yoga classes to the campus's students and teachers. The professionals provide talks, teach meditation, and conduct question-and-answer sessions with the guests during the yoga sessions. In addition, the centre holds annual and various Yoga-related festivals. A naturopathy clinic is also located in the OPD. The students are taught not only Yoga, but also the message of world peace, which is at the heart of ancient yogic knowledge centered on universal health, peace, and self-realisation.
Hostel Facilities: The university provides good hostel facilities to its pupils. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The Lucknow University hostel infrastructure includes 54 well-furnished rooms. Biometric machines for thumb impression attendance is there to provide good security. The hostels have the air-conditioned computer lab with internet connectivity. Students are given a common room with TV, a Reading Room with a well-furnished library. The hostel campus has green lawns, indoor sports room, outdoor games facilities. A dinning hall and an outdoor auditorium are also there for the students.
Computer Centre: All departments of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Education, Tagore Library, Co-operative Lending Library, V.C. Office and Residence, Registrar Office, Account Office, and numerous other departments of University have direct access to the Internet through their own computers at the Computer Centre.
Guest House
Library: The Tagore Library is the central research library of the University. It is air-conditioned with 100 seating capacity. The Lucknow University library has 5.25 lakh books, 50,000 journals and approximately 10,000 copies of approved PhD and D.Litt. dissertations. The CFCR computer cluster contains one master node and five compute nodes. Paintings, art objects, ancient coins, theses and research journals are also part of the famous library. It has on-line electronic journals and databases available through INFLIBNET Ahmedabad. Online browsing e-journals and e-mail facility are well provided.
