NBU Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Labs, Gym, Auditorium & Other Facilities

University of North Bengal provides students with world-class facilities to enhance their academic experience. It has a library, medical centre, labs, etc. Some of the highlighting features of the NBU infrastructure are cited below.

Library: The University of North Bengal Library is the sole library in the North Bengal region that helps professors, researchers, and students with research and higher education by supplying books, journals, and other publications. It is a three-story structure with a large collection of books, thesis papers, printed and online journals, and other materials. The NBU library has printed and online periodicals from various reputable publishers in different academic categories. The library uses Urkund's anti-plagiarism system to conduct plagiarism checks for the users. For a fully computerised circulation function and ease of access, the library employs SOUL 2.0.

Centre for Information and Resource Management (CIRM): The NBU has a computer centre as a primary hub for IT-related services. A well-defined IT policy governs all actions connected to ICT deployment. It is critical to create conducive teaching, learning, research, and governance environment.

University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC): The NBU campus has a University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC) that provides scientific equipment maintenance, repair, and manufacturing services. USIC provides services to research scientists, students, teachers, and officers. It offers services to departments, including repairing, maintaining, fabricating, and assembling scientific instruments. The centre also provides computer maintenance services to the academic and non-academic departments.

Medical Care: The NBU Siliguri has a health centre that offers outpatient services and emergency on-call services throughout the day. Doctor consultation (general physician, eye, paediatrics, gynaecology, pathology, and dental), medicines, and laboratory tests. The medical officer provides preventative and promotional health services to students and staff. IEC materials are distributed to students, and health awareness programs are held regularly

Hostel: There are two hostels present on the campus. One for boys and the other one for girls. The boy’s hostel has two divisions. One for research scholars (100 seats) and three residence halls (725 seats ) for the general students. The girl’s hostel also has two divisions One for research scholars (125 seats) and three halls of residence (404 seats ) for the general students. NBU hostel is equipped with the required amenities. 

Museum: The museum is representative of the region's material culture. It instils a sense of kinship among the residents of this area. The museum aspires to become a significant contribution to India's and the world's museum landscape. 

Sports Facilities: The University of North Bengal Darjeeling gives paramount importance to sports and provides excellent sports facilities to students. Students have provisions for playing cricket, football and volleyball on the campus.

Watch and Ward: The NBU facilities include a watch and ward department for round-the-clock safety. It keeps a check through CCTV surveillance.
