BACKWARD CLASS DEPARTMENT
Residential and Non-Residential Scholarship are sanctioned by the Backward Class department to the students belonging to BC, MBC/DNC, if their parent’s annual income does not exceed `2,00,000/-
ADI DRAVIDA WELFARE DEPARTMENT
Adi Dravida Welfare Scholarship is granted under Govt. of India and State Government Schemes. SC / ST students whose parent’s annual income is below `2,50,000/- eligible for the above scholarships.
In addition, hostel students studying in UG Degree classes are also granted a sum of `6,500/- each as Higher Education Special Scholarship and PG Students are granted a sum of `7,000/- whose parent's annual income is below `1,00,000/-

Students Aid Fund
Monetary help is given to the students who are not getting any other scholarship from Students Aid Fund on the basis of their merit, annual income of their parents and also in accordance with the rules of the committee.
National Merit Scholarship
This scholarship is granted on merit basis only. Prescribed forms and entitlement cards are sent to the students direct, through the school in which they studied last.
Selected students whose parents annual income exceeds `12,000/- are eligible for National Prize since they are not eligible for scholarships due to income limit.
National Loan Scholarship
National Loan Scholarships are awarded to the students under merit cum poverty. Students who have obtained 75% marks and whose parents annual income does not exceed 12,000/- are eligible
Freedom Fighters Scholarship
Scholarships admissible to the children, grand-children and adopted children of freedom fighters are awareded on the production of certificate from the Tamilnadu Congress Committee containing particulars of imprisonment place and period.
Students who are eligible for above scholarships, will also be sanctioned full fee concession.
Defence Service Personnel Scholarship
Students whose father is working in Military Service is eligible for this scholarship. He should have obtained 50% of makrs in the last annual examination. He is also eligible for (military concession) full fee concession and exemption from payment of all items of special fees.
Physically Handicapped Scholarship
Physically Handicapped students (a) Orthopaedically Handicapped (b) the blind and (c) the deaf under the age group of 16 to 30 whose parents' income does not exceed Rs.1000/- per month are eligible. They should not have received any other scholarship. For the application forms, the students should apply directly to the "Director of Social Welfare, Government of Tamilnadu, Chennai."
