The Free University of Berlin offers around 178 academic programs that include 73 undergraduate and 105 consecutive master’s programs. Popular programs are offered in the fields of arts, social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences. Applicants coming from non-native English speaking countries should produce a minimum TOEFL score of 100 and an overall IELTS score of 6.5.

International applicants can send in their applications to FU Berlin through uni-assist where the application is reviewed to ensure that it meets the subject-specific requirements of the chosen course. The entire selection process takes 4-6 weeks. Selected students are sent a confirmation letter by Uni-assist that can be used to apply for a student visa to Germany.
