NMMSS Scholarship 2022 Registration Deadline Extended Till Nov 30: Check Details

NMMSS Scholarship 2022: The Ministry of Education has extended the NMMSS scholarship 2022-23 deadline. Thus, the last date of submission is now Nov 30. Thus, students availing of the 'National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme' can now apply until the deadline. The scholarship is awarded to deserving students from the economically weaker section who cannot continue their education after class 8. 

Nearly one lakh scholarships are awarded to selected students from class 9 every year. Thus, the awardees are encouraged to continue or renew their education in classes 10 or 12 for those studying in state government, government-aided, and local body schools. Candidates can obtain INR 12000 per year. These scholarships are transferred directly into the bank accounts of the awardees through Public Financial Management System (PFMS).

This Central Sector Scheme will award NMMSS scholarship 2022 to students whose parental income combined from all sources are not more than INR 3,50,000 per year. According to the mandated criteria, students must secure a minimum of 55% or an equivalent grade in their class 7 examinations. Students who meet the eligibility criteria must appear in the selection examination (5% relaxation awarded to the reserved categories).
