International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC 2024-24) is a training camp organized for students who are prospects for being selected for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). IMOTC shall be the first of its type to prepare the participants for INMO and motivate the students in problem-solving in mathematics at the high school level. The camp is designed with invited research lectures, discussion, and practice tests. The main intention is to cultivate the habit of problem-solving in Mathematics.
INMO merit awardees are invited to Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai, for a training camp. The training camp lasts for a month, and students are put through many classes of understanding and test their skills. INMO merit awardees from last year are also invited to the camp and all the last year's team (those who still clear the eligibility criteria) as senior students are trained together with other students.

IMO Training Camp
The top students from the INMO (approximately 35) are invited for the fourth stage, the International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) held at HBCSE. The camp is organized to give orientation to students for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The importance is given on developing conceptual foundations and problem-solving skills of students. Several selection tests are held during this camp. Based on the performance in these tests, six students are selected to represent India at the IMO. Resource persons from different institutions across the country are invited to the training camps.
International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp usually takes place between April to May. Based on the score in INMO, the top 30 students from classes 8, 9, 10, 11, and the top 6 students from class 12 will be chosen as INMO awardees.
In addition to IMO awardees, the next 45 students are given INMO merit certificates. Holders of these certificates can directly appear for the following year's INMO exam. An extra five female students are selected as possible candidates for European Girls Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) 2024-24.
A team of four girl students will be selected for participation in EGMO 2024-24, based on girl students' performance from the combined pool at IMOTC 2024-24. Students participating in IMOTC 2024-24 (both senior and junior batch) will get to know the results at the end of the camp.

Stages of IMO
International Mathematical Olympiad is divided into multiple stages, and students have to clear each stage to go to the next. The stages are:
Stages |
Exams |
Stage I |
|
Stage II |
|
Stage III |
|
Stage IV |
International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) |
Stage V |
|
Stage VI |
As per the Madras High Court orders, students with OCI status will not be eligible for selection to the Indian team in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). However, such students are provisionally eligible for selection at all prior stages, including the IMOTC, provided they fulfil all other criteria. They are also provisionally eligible to write the selection tests at the IMOTC. The policy is subject to revision without prior notice depending on any further orders issued by the courts or competent Government authority.
The junior-level participants will receive the INMO certificate and a prize in the form of books. The senior-level participants will receive a prize in the form of books and cash.
