Placements and Internships
- There is compulsory internship program for a 3rd-year student(B.Tech) for 8 weeks.
- The stipend range from Rs. 5k per month to Rs. 1.2 lakh per month during an internship.
- The average salary offered is Rs. 9.2 lakhs pa and highest salary offered is Rs. 2 crores per annum for the students at Indian Institute of Technology.
- The alumni network is old and good.
- Alumni network helps in placement and other developmental work.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are more than 20 hostels for both UG and PG students at Indian Institute of Technology and the hostel fee( including boarding+mess) is about Rs. 33k per semester.
- Outside of college, there are no PGs are available to the students they have to stay inside the campus according to rule except Ph.D. students.
- Mess food is not so good but cheaper than any other canteen.
- The cost of food is Rs. 150 per meal.
- Classrooms, labs, libraries, wifi everything is the best.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria for joining Indian Institute of Technology is passing the 12th in PCM stream.
- The students have to clear the JEE MAIN or JEE ADVANCED to get admission in the college.
- The cut-off for my course is for general category students it is 5152 AIR, OBC category students has to have 2655 AIR, SC students have score 1408 AIR and ST students need to have 500 AIR to get admission in the college.
Academics and Faculty
- Class timings at Indian Institute of Technology are from 8 AM-6 PM.
- The projects are given to the students.
- Assignments and surprise tests are also common through out the semester. Attendance is mandatory.
- The quality of teaching is not so good. Method of teaching is more competitive.
- Overall experience is awesome.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee at Indian Institute of Technology is Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
- Scholarship options like MCM Scholarship, DST-Inspire scholarship, Any other govt or non-govt scholarship, scholarship for best students in each department etc is available for the students.
- About 60% of students get a scholarship.
- The loan is needed for some students. We have banks like SBI, PNB on our campus to help in this regard.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many societies for different events from technical, business related or cultural events. Even there are societies for different state people. There are many startups to help the campus community. There are societies to help students academically, mentally etc at Indian Institute of Technology.
- Social-cultural fest like Springfest, Techfest are Kshitij, Management fest is Purvodaya and other departmental fests are held on the campus.
- There are also Inter-hall and Inter-IIT events regarding sports, social-cultural and technology.
- Life in college is good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria is 12th pass in PCM for getting into Indian Institute of Technology. JEE entrance exam is required. The cut-off is typically high for this college.
Placements & Internships : Did internships at IISC bangalore, Philips innovation campus and Ecole polytechnique Paris. Stipends were 15k, 35k and 60k respectively. All kinds of companies come for placement ranging from top tech companies like Facebook, Google to management companies like ITC, Goldman Sachs. Tech roles in US usually pay somewhere near 110k USD Highest salary in India was 40 lakhs while in US its 125k USD. Almost everyone gets place within the stipulated placement season. Alumni are the main strength of IITs who are in top positions at all phases of corporate world
