Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for joining Indian Institute of Technology is passing the 12th in PCM stream. The students have to clear the JEE MAIN or JEE ADVANCED to get admission in the college. The cut-off for my course is for general category students it is 5152 AIR, OBC category students has to have 2655 AIR, SC students have score 1408 AIR and ST students need to have 500 AIR to get admission in the college.
Placements & Internships : Did internships at IISC bangalore, Philips innovation campus and Ecole polytechnique Paris. Stipends were 15k, 35k and 60k respectively. All kinds of companies come for placement ranging from top tech companies like Facebook, Google to management companies like ITC, Goldman Sachs. Tech roles in US usually pay somewhere near 110k USD Highest salary in India was 40 lakhs while in US its 125k USD. Almost everyone gets place within the stipulated placement season. Alumni are the main strength of IITs who are in top positions at all phases of corporate world
