Soumya Samirana's Review on VIT University, [VIT] Vellore

Intern at Chennai Port trust, Bharat Electronics Limited and Chennai Power Corporation. Lot of IT services based companies hire from the campus, other types of companies also hire students of VIT. The average salary will be around 5 Lakhs per annum and highest would be around 30 lakhs per annum. Alumni network is very diverse and active.

Currently, 15 blocks are there and more are under construction. Hostels are very well constructed and maintained very nicely. Hostel fee varies depending on the type of hostel we take i.e. single bed ac, nonac, double bed etc. There are a lot of PGs outside college and prices are very low around 2k per month. Food is good and coat varies on cuisine like non-veg or veg. The infrastructure of the college is very good with top-notch facilities.

Candidates with 60% in PCM and VITEEE rank were eligible. After getting the rank of VITEEE we were asked to come to VIT Vellore or Chennai in for on spot counseling for our course. VITEEE rank in the order of 10000 is required for getting a seat in EIE.

The daily routine of a student is completely their own choice since the system of making your own timetable makes it a lot easier. Teaching is good mostly with some bad teachers. Experience in the college is amazing, once in a lifetime.

Around 2 lakhs. Students who are state board exam toppers get scholarships. Can't say Depends on the financial status of a family. They are easily available at all public and private banks since VIT is a reputed institute.

There are a lot of clubs like IEEE, ISTE, Dance Club etc. All festivals of different states are celebrated on the campus. Life in college is quite good.
