Kiran S's Review on Ramaiah Institute of Technology

I have done an Internship at BEML and have worked on the assembly of metro cars for Bengaluru, Delhi and Kolkata Metro.

MSRIT has got over 46 industrial collaboration and students from here have a great reputation outside in the market. IT companies pull most of the students from MSRIT and other companies like manufacturing and assembly industries also hire students from here. Students from this college also shine in Finance and Marketing sectors hence these industries also show great interests towards the students and try to hire them.

Average salary figures being 5 to 7 lakhs per annum, the highest salary figure proposed by a company in the year 2019 is 32 LPA! and yeah, many more companies are yet to come and 2019 is just half done. 

It also has a great Alumni network and conducts an Alumni meet at least once every year.

College has the best infrastructure. all the classrooms are connected to the internet server and will be equipped with a PC and projector. There are around 5 libraries in the college building and it also has an E-library. it is a Wi-Fi campus, students have to register and can use college Wi-Fi for free.

There are around 5-7 Cafe on the campus which serves good quality and very delicious food.

I got into MSRIT through Post Graduation Common Entrance Test PGCET - Karnataka. You can also get in through GATE, or by taking up the Entrence Test conducted by the college. PGCET cutoff ranking for MTech in Industrial Engineering was 10525 in the year 2019 and the average cutoff for MTech was around 9000.

Overall it is a great college with all the facilities that help students overall growth.

It is a semester-based course and there will be classes conducted from 9 am in the morning to 4 pm every day except on Sundays. They make sure students indulge themselves in projects, case studies, paper publication etc. They give great importance to practical knowledge and work.

Students will have two Internal tests of 30 marks each and 20 marks for assignments, Quiz MCQs, Presentation etc., so a maximum of 50 marks can be obtained from the internal. Semester End Exams will be for 100 marks in each subject.

Quality of teaching is really good and the overall experience in college is great.

As far as the fee is concerned, for MTech, if you get a seat through PGCET you will have to pay 76000 per year and it's a lot less if you get in through GATE. Whereas, if you come through the Entrance exam conducted by the exam you will have to pay 1.5 to 3 lakhs per year depending on your performance in the test. Deserving students also get various Scholarship options from the Government and also from the management under different categories like post metric scholarship for SC/ST students, scholarships and concession in fee for category I. II and III, defence category scholarship etc. and about 1006 students claimed these scholarships last year.

Education loans are easily available from the Vijaya bank as the college has a tie-up with them. Other banks also provide educational loans.

College entertains and supports various student activities and clubs. There is also at one club from each department which actively organises various workshops, seminars, technical related activities and also makes students indulge and participate in them. 

There will be something called ' Ramaiah Habba ' conducted once every week or once in every 15 days which encourages students to take part and showcase their talent. There is one main annual fest conducted in every even sem which will go on for a minimum of 3 days.

Support from the management towards these extra and co-curricular activities which help students in their overall development.
