How Can I Get into California State University?

For freshman admission, the student should have: 

  • Graduated from high school
  • Minimum CSU LB index which is calculated based on high school college preparatory courses. For non-California students, the requirement is 3 GPA and 3500 CSU LB index.
  • For Science Technology Engineering and Math majors, the admission is based on the STEM eligibility index with a minimum score of 3600. The STEM index includes qualitative skills required for these subjects also.
