The College of Charleston admissions is open in the Fall and Spring intake sessions. It follows a holistic approach where factors other than the academic test scores are taken into consideration which includes overall scholastic readiness, special talents quality of leadership and extracurricular accomplishments, among others.
Students applying for the College of Charleston admissions are required to submit an academic record with consistent average grades within A or B at the time of admission. International students are required to prove English language proficiency by submitting test scores of IELTS/ TOEFL/ Duolingo.
The College of Charleston offers 61 majors and 78 minors in undergraduate programs in various study areas such as management, business, etc. International students can apply for admission either through the common application or the COFC application by paying an application fee of $50.

The College of Charleston admission decisions is usually announced 6-8 weeks after the application deadline. Once the admission is confirmed, students will be issued the I-20 form so that they can start the visa procedure. All selected students must take part in the 2-day advising and registration process organized by the Academic Advising and Planning Center of the College of Charleston as part of campus orientation.
