Rhodes College is a Memphis-based private liberal arts college. It is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is historically linked with the Presbyterian Church.
In 1848, Rhodes College was established in Clarksville, Tennessee. Originally known as the Masonic University of Tennessee, Stewart College was renamed in 1850 after its president, William M. Stewart.
