D'Youville College is a private college based on the vibrant west side of Buffalo and is the first college in Western New York to offer a degree in sociology in 1931. It is known for preparing students for the 21st century by achieving their career goals and preparing them to do well for themselves and their communities. D'Youville is known for starting the region's first four-year undergraduate nursing program in 1942 and for also being the first college in the area to offer baccalaureate degree programmes for women.
