The University of Houston offers programs across 108 undergraduate majors & minors, 104 master’s degrees, 46 doctoral degrees. It also has 26 research centers. All of the programs are available through the college's 16 colleges, schools, and interdisciplinary honors college.

Certificate programs and dual-degree programs (BA/JD, BS/MD) are also available at the University of Houston. UH offers the nation's first Subsea Engineering Master's Program. Law, commerce, liberal arts, teaching, engineering, medicine, and a variety of other vocations are among those available.
With competitive SAT or ACT scores, a 3.2 GPA or better in the high school academic core requirements is required. A GPA of 2.5 or higher and SAT or ACT scores of at least 1100.
