Complete at least one semester (16 units) of academic courses at an accredited college or university by the time of application and have completed two semesters (32 units) at the point of anticipated enrollment. Submit SAT or ACT scores (optional). Please note, that to make adequate progress toward graduation, 16 units (usually four courses) must be completed each term. Although Occidental College accepts applications from any student who meets the above criteria, their most competitive applicants usually possess the following characteristics: Enrollment at an accredited college or university for at least one year (two or more semesters), and maintaining a 3.6 GPA or better in academic coursework.
Agriculture, Legal Arts, American Studies, Architecture, Psychology, Law/legal studies, Legal arts, and Science technologies are among the bachelor's degrees offered by Occidental College. Students can postpone their enrolment for a maximum of one year after they have been accepted. Before the deadline, students must submit all of their documentation to Oxy. Occidental College provides a place in its programs by offering two rounds of Early Decision admissions. The rate of admission for early admission is quite high as compared to that of Regular decisions. It reserves 33% of the seats in the first-year class for students in the Early Decision round while the remaining seats (2/3 seats) are reserved for those applying for Regular Decision.
