• U.S. News & World Report ranked eight programs in the College of Nursing and one in the College of Health Sciences among the top ten in the country
• Rush University is ranked among the top 100 institutions in the United States and the top 350 universities worldwide in the 2021 rankings
• According to Shanghai Rankings, the university is ranked #140 in the United States as of 2020
• According to QS World University Rankings, Rush University's Nursing program is ranked in the top 20 in the United States and #51 globally

Rush University National Ranking

Rush University Medical Center was named No. 19 in the United States, No. 2 in Illinois, and No. 2 in the Chicago metro area by U.S. News & World Report in 2021. Nine specialties were named among the best in the country, according to the study. Rush University Medical Center was ranked 19th nationally by U.S. News and World Report in its Best Hospitals Honor Roll in 2021. In the same report, Rush was ranked third in neurology and neurosurgery and sixth in orthopedics among adult specialties.

Rush University is a health science university that is part of the Rush System, which comprises Rush University Medical Center, Rush University, Rush Copley Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and several outpatient care facilities. The "America's Best Graduate Schools" report published by U.S. News & World Report in 2021 listed eight programs in the College of Nursing and one in the College of Health Sciences among the top ten in the country.
