The University of North Alabama is a public university in Florence, Alabama. It is considered to be the oldest 4-year public university in the State. It is home to a great number of international students and a total enrollment of 8,361 students.
The university was founded in 1830 and was named LaGrange College. It was officially established in 1872 as the first state-supported college south of the Ohio River. It is also the nation’s first coeducational college.

UNA launched the first Engineering curriculum in the school’s history. Anderson College of Nursing offers a traditional approach to Nursing and it also offers several baccalaureate programs.
