The University of North Alabama is a public university in Florence, Alabama. It is considered to be the oldest 4-year public university in the State. It is home to a great number of international students and a total enrollment of 8,361 students. 

When was the University of North Alabama Established?

The university was founded in 1830 and was named LaGrange College. It was officially established in 1872 as the first state-supported college south of the Ohio River. It is also the nation’s first coeducational college.
