Offering a variety of more than 360 various types of courses, the University of Tennessee (UT) accepts applications from international students, transfer students, and other applicants.

  • The applications are accepted thrice a year during Fall, Spring, and Summer, and the deadlines for submission of applications are 15th June, 15th October, and 15th March respectively

The University of Tennessee has 900+ study programs. These are further divided into 370 undergraduate programs, 547 graduate programs, and nearly 300 study abroad programs.

Eligibility Criteria for International Students

  • Submit official academic record
  • Submission of proof of financial support
  • GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 and a competitive GMAT
  • Bachelors degree required

Post Graduate Admission at the University of Tennessee

More than 350 academic graduate programs are offered at the University of Tennessee through its 11 colleges. Students can apply using the ApplyWeb application portal.

Eligibility Criteria for International Students

  • Application fees of $60 to be paid
  • Minimum IELTS score of 6.5
  • A competitive GPA of 3.0
  • Letter of recommendation and proof of financial support

University of Tennessee Application Process for International Students

There are various requirements to be followed if you are an international student and will to attend the University of Tennessee on a visa in the United States. An international student wanting to attend UT as a part of an exchange program shall have an application process that is different from the one for other international students. The following will be required for the application:

Required Documents

  • The common application/ VoI application
  • An application fee of $50
  • Document showing the score of proficiency in the English language
  • If you attend high school in the US, Self Reported Academic Record (SRAR) will be needed
  • Proof showing financial support up to 1 year.

  • Undergraduate students can apply using the common application or by becoming a Volunteer in Process
  • For graduate students, applying using the ApplyWeb portal is possible
  • The application fee for undergraduate students is $50 and that for graduate students is $60
