Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced some major changes in CBSE 10 12 syllabus 2025. As per the new notification, the syllabus for both 10th and 12th classes has been reduced by 10% to 15%. The board has taken this decision to ease the academic stress on students. This reduction of syllabus for the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board exams has been introduced to all the subjects.

Changes in CBSE 10 12 Syllabus 2025
As per the latest notification shared by the board, the syllabus for CBSE 10 12 exams has been reduced by up to 15% across all subjects. Changes in CBSE 10 12 Exam Pattern 2025
Apart from the syllabus, there have been some major changes to the CBSE 10 12 board exams 2025 exam pattern as well. One of the major changes in exam pattern is the increase of internal assessment weightage. As per the revised pattern for CBSE 10 12 board exams 2025, the internal assessment will hold 40% weightage in the final grade. While the final written exams will account for 60% weightage.
Another change to the CBSE 10 12 board exams exam pattern 2025 is the open book exam format. As per the notification, some of the subjects in the exam will have an open book written exam. This means that students can refer to their books during the exam and attempt the questions accordingly. The subjects that will have an open book system include English Literature and Social Science.
