The CBSE 12th admit card 2025 will be released soon on the official website. The CBSE class 12th date sheet 2025 has been released and as per the official timetable, the theory exams will begin on February 15, 2025, which will end on April 4, 2025. The CBSE 12th practical exam 2025 was started on January 1, 2025.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the syllabus and exam pattern for CBSE class 12th exam 2025 which students can review while preparing for the board exam. The CBSE exam class 12 2025 will be conducted for 3 hours, with questions paper having MCQ, short answer questions, and long answer questions.

About CBSE Board 

The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts CBSE class 12 exams. It is a national-level education board in India. It emerged in 1952 as a standardized government education system.

Today, the Union Government of India controls CBSE. It has over 19,316 affiliated schools in India and 211 schools in 28 different foreign countries. Around 44 lakh students from 8,000 schools in India and 26 schools abroad will appear for the CBSE board exams in 2025. 

About CBSE Class 12 Exam 2025

Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the CBSE Class 12 board exam 2025 for both regular and private candidates. Students who have passed the class 11 exams are qualified to appear for the class 10 examination.

Students will be evaluated on the best of five subjects which includes language subjects and four other subjects from different streams such as Science, Arts, and Commerce.

CBSE 12th improvement exams are conducted for students dissatisfied with their performance. While making the final scorecard, the best score between the CBSE class 12 exam 2025 and improvement exams will be considered.

The eligibility criteria to apply for the CBSE 12th improvement exam are as follows:

  • Candidates appearing for the improvement exams must not have a compartment in any subject.
  • Candidates can only appear for the improvement exam for the subjects they previously appeared for.

The CBSE 12th passing marks 2025 is 33%. Also, a candidate has to score an aggregate of 33% to pass the CBSE class 12 exam 2025.

  • If a candidate scores an aggregate of 33% but fails to secure 33% in any subject, they will have to appear in the compartment exam.
  • In 2025, the board will calculate the final marks based on the marks obtained in the CBSE class 12 board exam and internal/project/practical papers.
  • Grace marks are awarded on a scale of 2 to 5 in a subject.

CBSE Class 12 Registration Fee 2025

Steps to follow for the LOC Registration Form

Regular candidates must carry out the CBSE 12th registration through their respective schools. The steps to be followed by the schools to register students for CBSE class 12 board exams 2025 are as follows:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website.
  • Step 2: Navigate to the home page and click on the 'Pariksha Sangam' tab.
  • Step 3: Go to the 'Pre Exam Activities' tab and click on the 'LOC Class X and XII' link.
  • Step 4: Enter the required credentials to log in.
  • Step 5: Submit the LOC of candidates appearing for the CBSE class 12 exams 2025.

CBSE 12th Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Students must pass class 11th of any government-recognized state or national board. Anyone currently studying in class 12th may appear for the CBSE class 12 board exam 2025. The CBSE class 12 eligibility criteria for students are:

  • In case of failure, students may re-appear next year as private candidates.
  • Teachers submit a certificate along with the application issued by the institution head.
  • Female residential candidates in Delhi NCR may appear as private candidates.
  • Physically disabled students in Delhi NCR must have a gap of at least two years between passing class 10th and sitting for class 12th.
  • They have to present a certificate of disability issued by a registered doctor.
  • The certificate must prove their inability to attend regular school for subjects.
  • The certificate must prove their inability to be uninvolved in practical training or examinations.

Note: Applicable for teachers and females. They must pass class 10th or at least two years before appearing for the 12th exam.

Women and disabled students will have to fulfill the following criteria additionally:

  • They must complete the prescribed curriculum while they are unable to attend school.
  • They were unable to attend classes at school.
  • There were valid reasons for them to choose private candidature.
