Table of Contents
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) conducted the 12th board exams recently. The MP Board 12th exams were held between 25th February, 2025 and 25th March, 2025. The results of these exams will be declared on 24th April, 2025 (tentatively).
The students appearing for the Madhya Pradesh class 12th board exams can take a look at the passing marks for the exams before the result comes out. The students can check this article to know the minimum marks which are required to pass the exams.
The passing marks required in the MP 12th board are 33%. The students need to receive a minimum of 33% in all subjects to pass the 12th board exams. These marks are calculated by adding the theory marks and the practical marks received by the students. Some subjects have a maximum of 80 marks in theory and 20 marks in practical, while other subjects have 70 marks in theory and 30 marks in practical. Apart from receiving 33% in all subjects, the student must also attain a minimum of 33% as the average percentage.

The students are also allotted divisions according to the marks received by them. The marksheet of the students displays the division received in various subjects along with the total marks received by the student in the respective subjects. If the students are failing in any subject, no division will be allotted to them in that subject. The highest division which a student can get in any subject is the distinction, and the lowest division which a student can get in any subject is third division. The division system can be explained from the following table:

The students are also allotted grades according to the marks received by them. The students must also receive a passing grade in all the subjects in order to pass the board exams. The MP Board 12th grading system has been divided into 9 grades. The grades range from A+ to E, with A+ being the highest grade and E being the lowest grade. A Student must attain a minimum grade of D+ to pass. The grading system can be explained from the following table:

If a student is not able to get passing marks in one or two subjects, he/she can apply for the MP Board supplementary exams. If a student has passed the exam but is not satisfied with his/her marks, he/she can also apply for the supplementary exams. The students can apply for the supplementary exams on the official website of the MP board.
The time-table of the MP Board 12th supplementary exams will be released on the board's official website after the board results are declared in April 2025. The supplementary exams will be conducted in June 2025 and the results for these exams will be declared in July 2025. The students must get passing marks in the supplementary exams too in order to pass the board exams.
