Maharashtra HSC Passing Marks: The Maharashtra State Education Board conducts the Maharashtra HSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate) class 12th examination for students. Maharashtra HSC passing marks are 35% for both theory and practical. Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education follows a condonation policy of grace marks along with a division system based on the overall percentage. Students appearing for class 12th Maharashtra exams will have to score 35% in all subjects to be eligible for further education.

Maharashtra Board HSC passing marks of subjects are out of 100, but there were a few subjects that had total marks of 150. The overall passing marks earlier for Maharashtra HSC were 650, but now it has been reduced to 600. Maharashtra HSC will declare results for the session of 2024-2025 in May 2025.

Maharashtra HSC Passing Marks For PCMB (Medical and Non Medical)

Students of PCMB stream appearing for Maharashtra HSC have a total of 5 subjects and one elective which adds up to the overall marks of 600. The subjects have been divided into 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment.

Maharashtra HSC Passing Marks for Commerce

Maharashtra HSC passing marks for commerce subjects depend on the theory for 80 marks and internal assessment of 20 marks. Internal assessment depends on knowledge acquisition, subject knowledge and subject-specific experiments or activities conducted during the course duration. Maharashtra HSC Grading System 

Maharashtra HSC Grading system is represented in the form of divisions depending on the overall percentage. The minimum grade required to be called as Pass is C.
