Students must secure the BSEB class 10th passing marks 2025 which is 30% in each subject including English, Hindi, Maths, Science, and Social Science. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) uses a 9th-point grading system to assess the performance of Class 10th students based on the scores obtained on the test. 

As per the BSEB class 10th datesheet 2025, the Bihar Board class 10 exam 2025 was conducted from February 17, 2025, to February 25, 2025. Students must score the BSEB class 10th 2025 passing marks which is at least 150 marks out of 500 in both theory and practical exams. 

A student who gets between 540 and 600 marks (over 90%) in the Bihar Board class 10 exam 2025, receives an A1 grade, indicating an "Outstanding" performance; a student who scores less than 33% (000 to 197 marks) receives an F grade, indicating an "Unsatisfactory" performance, and must retake the test.

BSEB will only give passing certificates to those students who score 30% or more in all subjects. Students who do not achieve 30% in four or more subjects will be barred from taking the compartment test and must retake the board examinations the next academic year.

BSEB Class 10th Grading System 2025

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) assesses the performance of Class 10th students based on a 9-point grading system. Students are assigned grades based on their exam scores. 

To pass the BSEB Class 10th exam, students must obtain at least 30 marks in each subject. The overall score should be at least 150. Students who score less than the passing threshold must sit the Bihar Board Class 10 Compartment Exam. Below is the 9 points grading system followed by BSEB:

Tips To Score Above BSEB Class 10th Passing Marks 2025

Tips to score above BSEB Class 10th Passing Marks 2025 are given below:

  • Focus on practicing formulae, derivations, and numerical problems on a regular basis.
  • Make a separate formula sheet and change it every day. For example, in mathematics, prioritize practicing high-weightage topics such as trigonometry, applications of trigonometry, and similar triangles.
  • Students must learn the Trigonometric Tables and Trigonometric Ratios of Complementary Angles thoroughly.
