Calculating the percentage for the Bihar Board class 10th exam is a very simple process. After downloading the marksheet, students should look at the total marks obtained in the 5 main subjects. Then one needs to add the marks obtained and divide them by the total marks. The achieved value must be multiplied by 100 to obtain the exact percentage. 

Here is a simple formula to calculate percentage –

Bihar Board 10th Grading System 2025: Division-Based Classification 

The table below provides the division-based classification for the Bihar Board 10th Grading System –

A student who scores more than 300 marks in aggregate will be awarded the first division in the Bihar Board 10th exam. For the marks range of 225 to 299, a second division is allotted. Bihar Board Class 10 Grading System 2025: Passing Marks 

As per the Bihar Board 10th Grading System, the passing marks for each subject are 30%. The maximum marks for each subject are 100, and thus, a student must get at least 30 marks to pass that subject. There are 5 main subjects. So, one must get at least 150 marks out of 500 to be declared passed in the Bihar Board Class 10th exam. 

Those who can’t achieve a minimum score of 30% in each subject will be required to appear for the compartment/supplementary exam. If a student fails in 4 or more subjects in the Bihar Board class 10th exam, then it is mandatory to repeat the academic year.
