TBSE Class 12th Grading System consists of an 8-point grading scale ranging from A1 to E. TBSE stands for Tripura Board of Secondary Education which conducts class 12th examinations in March every year.
The grades are mentioned in the scorecard of TBSE Class 12th students which determines the qualifying status of students for Pass or fail. Students require a minimum of a D grade in TBSE Class 12th to be considered as a pass. Students with A1 grades get awarded with the first division.

TBSE Class 12th grading system has been developed by Tripura Board of Secondary Education in which a total of 8 grades are scaled from A1 to E. TBSE Class 12th grading system includes grade points which are numbers from 8 to 1 representing different grades and aggregate marks. TBSE Class 12th passing grade point is 2 which is denoted by D grade for 33 to 40 marks. Tripura Board of Secondary Education class 12th marking scheme has no negative markings. There are several theoretical exams of 100 marks and 80 marks. For non-practical exams, 20 marks are given to practicals 80 marks for theory or 90 marks for theory and 10 marks for practicals.
There are some subjects like physics, chemistry, geography, psychology etc which have 70 marks for theory and 30 marks for practical exams. Internal assessments include the behaviour of students, knowledge acquisition ability, participation in activities etc. For subjects like English, verbal and written proficiency is checked by students. There are both subjective and objective questions in TBSE Class 12th exam papers.

TBSE Class 12th passing marks are 33% overall percentage and in individual subjects. Out of 500 marks students require a minimum of 165 scores to pass TBSE Class 12th. The passing grade for Tripura Board of Secondary Education is D and the passing grade point is 2.
Students should also focus on completing files, participating in activities and scoring high in periodic tests and examinations. If a student is unable to pass any subject in TBSE Class 12th then the student will have to re-appear for TBSE Class 12th examinations or give compartment examinations.
