BUMS is a five year undergraduate degree program in the field of Unani medicine, a traditional medicine system that originated in ancient Greece and was later adopted and developed by Muslim scholars. The BUMS syllabus aims to train students in the principles and practices of Unani medicine, which emphasises the balance of bodily humours such as phlegm, blood, yellow bile, and black bile for maintaining health.
