AIIMS PG 2022 has been replaced by INI CET 2022. Candidates from now have to appear for INI CET 2022 exam to get admission into MD, MS, DM (6 years), MCh (6 years), and MDS courses.
AIIMS PG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi, for admission in Postgraduate courses. Through this entrance exam, admission will be offered in MD/MS/M.Ch.(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDH courses.
Candidates qualifying for the test will get admission in various AIIMS, New Delhi, and six other AIIMS (Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur & Rishikesh). This exam is conducted twice every year in the month of January and July.

What is AIIMS PG?
The full form of AIIMS PG is the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Post Graduate Entrance Exam. The AIIMS PG entrance exam is a gateway for admission into MD, MS, M.Ch., DM, and MDS. It is a National level exam conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The AIIMS colleges are a group of autonomous government public medical colleges in India, which was established in 1956. All these institutes are declared as institutes of national importance by an Act of Parliament. Currently, there are 15 AIIMS in India. 8 more AIIMS institutes are expected to be established by 2025.
Level and Frequency: The AIIMS PG is a National Level Entrance Examination that is conducted in the month of January and July every year.

AIIMS PG 2022 Eligibility
Candidates aspiring to write the AIIMS PG 2022 must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The detailed criteria to be eligible for the exam is mentioned below.
Educational Qualification
- For MD/ MS degree, a candidate needs to hold an MBBS degree from any university duly recognized by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Councils.
- For an MDS degree, a candidate needs to hold a BDS degree from any university duly recognized by the Dental Council of India or State Dental Council.
- The candidates must have secured 55% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ ST category candidates.
Rotatory Internship
A candidate must have completed his or her 12-month rotating Internship/ Practical Training by July 30, 2022. Candidates who cannot complete the said internship within the period till July 30, 2022, will be ineligible for registration of this examination.
Citizenship
The candidates applying for AIIMS PG 2022 must be an Indian citizen to satisfy AIIMS PG 2022 eligibility criteria. Anyone other than an Indian is not allowed to apply for AIIMS PG 2022 Registration.
Age Limit
There is no restriction on the age limit for the candidates who are willing to apply for AIIMS PG.

AIIMS PG 2022 Registration
The AIIMS PG 2022 Application form filling is a 6 step process. Candidates should mandatorily finish all the steps before the deadline in order to appear for the examination. The step-by-step process is mentioned below.
Basic Registration (Step 1 and 2)
- Step 1: Candidates should fill in basic details such as full name, DOB, category, gender, email ID, contact number to get the credentials. The login credentials will be sent to the email ID and mobile phone.
- Login with the credentials received and change the password. Remember the credentials till the end of the admission process.
- Step 2: Candidates are required to upload the scanned copy of their recent photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression in JPEG format. Candidates who have successfully completed the basic registration can move towards the final registration as given below.
Final Registration (Step 3 - 6)
- Step 3 - Qualification and Address Details: Candidates need to enter the details of their qualifications like qualifying exam name and status of the exam, and also provide the communication address.
- Step 4 - Fee Payment: Payment can be done through online mode only using a Debit card/Credit card and net banking. Take the printout of the payment receipt for future correspondence.
- Step 5 - City Choice: Candidates should select the examination centre. The real-time seat availability will be shown at the time of choosing the exam city.
- Step 6 - Print application form: In the final step, candidates should take the printout of the fully filled application form. Make sure there are no errors or discrepancies in the application form.

AIIMS PG 2022 Admit Card
The All India Institute of Medical Science will release the AIIMS PG 2022 admit card for the January session online, on November 10, 2022. The admit card contains details such as the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, photograph, signature, examination date and time, exam venue. No candidates will be allowed inside the examination hall without the AIIMS PG 2022 admit card.

Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates appearing for the AIIMS PG 2022 exam must keep the following guidelines in mind on the day of the exam.
- It is mandatory for all test-takers to carry a valid photo identity proof with them on the day of the examination.
- AIIMS PG exam centres will not have provisions to keep bags or other valuables.
- Eatables/ beverages/ water bottles are not allowed inside the examination hall.
- The candidate must be present one hour before the AIIMS PG 2022 Exam Centre for the verification, if not the candidates won't be allowed to write the examination.
- Candidates have to carry Admit Card along with any Government Id to the Exam Centre on the day of the examination.

AIIMS PG 2022 Result
The Results of AIIMS PG Jan 2022 were declared on December 7, 2020, on the official website. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is the authority that declares the AIIMS PG 2022 Results. The scorecard is uploaded on the AIIMS official website. Applicants have to take the printout of the scorecard for their future use. AIIMS, New Delhi is responsible for publishing the merit list on its official website. AIIMS PG 2022 Counselling
The counselling for AIIMS PG 2022 dates will be announced soon. The counselling was conducted in 3 different rounds.
Open Round of Online Seat Allocation: An open round of seat allotment for AIIMS PG 2022 will be organised online, Candidates will be given a chance to exercise their choice (college and specialization/branch).
The seat allocation of the open round was announced on August 19, 2022. After an open round of seat allocation, no further/extra round of seat allocation will be conducted by the AIIMS, New Delhi.
Counselling Process: All the shortlisted candidates will be called for AIIMS PG 2022 Counselling according to their rank in the merit list. A student’s final admission will depend upon their performance in the AIIMS PG 2022 exam. The points given below shows the counselling process for this year.
- Firstly, students will be called for the counselling process based on their ranks in the merit list
- Secondly, the reserved category candidates will be called for counselling to fill the seats

AIIMS PG 2022 Exam Instructions
Candidates need to keep the following exam instructions in mind when appearing for the AIIMS PG 2022 exam:
- The mode of examination is an online i.e. Computer-based Test (CBT). AIIMS PG aspirants should take a few mock tests as experience.
- The test will begin exactly at the time mentioned on the AIIMS PG Admit Card. A prior announcement will be made by the invigilator.
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours for MS/ MD and 1.5 hours for MDS.
- All questions will carry equal marks i.e. 1.
- There will be only one correct answer for each question from the given four options.
- A negative marking scheme will be employed for evaluating the answers. Applicants should only answer the question if they are sure about it.
- Unanswered questions will not affect the total marks
- One mark will be allotted for each correct answer while 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Applicants are required to sign the attendance sheet.
- Admit card should be carried along with photo identity proof.
