SMFWBEE 2023: Notification (Soon), Application Form, Exam

SMFWBEE 2023 exam notification is expected to be released in Aug 2023, followed by the release of application form. SMFWBEE exam 2023 is likely to be conducted by the first week of Oct 2023. The admit card for the same is expected to be issued by the fourth week of Sep 2023. The official dates will announced upon the notification. About SMFWBEE

The State Medical Faculty of West Bengal Entrance Exam popularly abbreviated as SMFWBEE is a state-level exam conducted each year by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB). This exam is conducted to give students and candidates who wish to continue their medical courses further in the state colleges and institutions either government or non-government institutions.

The SMFWBEE is linked to many colleges, and establishments within the state of West Bengal and provides candidates with various paramedical courses. The SMFWB offers candidates various paramedical courses that are as follows:

SMFWBEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria 

SMFWBEE 2023 eligibility criteria is important for candiates to know before they apply for the exam. Applicants are advised to go through the SMFWBEE 2023 eligibility criteria determined by the official authorities carefully. Applicants who qualify for the eligibility criteria will be allowed to move forward in the admission process. Only those candidates can apply for SMFWBEE 2023 who:

• Completed their 12th board examination from any recognized institution or university
• Have studied Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as main subjects during PUC
• Have completed 17 years of age.

SMFWBEE 2023 Application Form 

SMFWBEE 2023 application form will be available on the official website. Aspiring candidates will be able to apply for SMFWBEE 2023 on the official website. Candidates must first register by filling in all necessary details after which the registration ID will be sent to the candidates through mail or SMS once released.

SMFWBEE 2023 Fees

The SMFWBEE 2023 fees are INR 100 and INR 500 for registration and application respectively. SMFWBEE provides two modes through which fees can be paid: 

• Online mode - Candidates can pay the SMFWBEE 2023 registration and application fee through Net banking, debit card, or credit card. (The registration fee can be paid only through online mode)
• Offline mode - Candidates can also pay the fee amount through challan by the State Bank of India.

SMFWBEE 2023 Admit Card 

SMFWBEE 2023 admit card will be released on the official website. The SMFWBEE 2023 admit can then be downloaded or printed out for future use. Candidates must keep in mind that SMFWBEE admit card 2023 is an important document, which they must carry to the exam centre. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed inside the exam hall.

SMFWBEE 2023 Exam Pattern 

SMFWBEE 2023 exam pattern is released by the exam conducting authority. Applicants should understand the SMFWBEE exam pattern carefully before attempting the exam. SMFWBEE 2023 examination will be conducted for 100 marks. There shall be two papers-

• SMFWBEE Part 1
• SMFWBEE Part 2

Part 1 will consist of two sections namely Physics and Chemistry which will have 25 questions each. Part 2 will consist of only one section: Biology, it will have 50 questions.

All the questions will be MCQs for which there is one mark for each right answer and no negative marking for any incorrect answer. The time allotted to complete the exam is three hours or 180 minutes.

SMFWBEE Merit List 2023

The Merit List is published for candidates who will qualify for different courses and institutions either government or non-government. The SMFWBEE 2023 merit rank list shall be released on the official website and displayed in the office of the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal which will also publish the merit list as the following -

The Merit List 1 is for candidates belonging to the General Category as well as for the SC/ST/OBC category candidates. Merit List 2 is for the candidates who are differently-abled or PH candidates. Merit Lists 3,4,5,6 are for candidates belonging to ST (Scheduled Tribes), SC (Scheduled Castes), OBC-A (Other Backward Class), and OBC-B (Other Backward Class) respectively.

In some cases where there is a tie between candidates, meaning if there is more than one candidate securing the same marks or percentage, the candidate who is older in age shall be given the preference. However, if there is still a tie, the candidate securing higher marks or percentages in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in the HS examination shall be given the preference.

SMFWBEE 2023 Counselling 

SMFWBEE 2023 counselling schedule will be announced on the official website. If the SMFWBEE Counselling 2023 is held offline, the name of the venue, time, and date along with all the essential documents that the candidate must carry will be announced on the official website; if the counselling takes place online the time and date for the same will also be provided on the main website.

During the time of application, right after the registration is done candidates are given the choice of course and the institute that they likely prefer or would like to study in.

The selected candidates will be allotted a seat as per their choice of course and college/institution. If however, a candidate does not get a seat in the preferred course or college, the candidate must wait for another round of counselling. But if a candidate is allotted a seat at the preferred college and course, the course fee of INR 15,000 must be immediately paid in order to hold the seat. If the fee is not paid the candidate might likely lose the seat.
