BAMS is a five-and-a-half-year undergraduate degree that integrates Ashtanga Ayurveda principles with modern medical science and deals with the aspects of Dravyaguna, Panchakarma, etc. The BAMS syllabus highlights the development of Ayurveda through various topics such as rasa shastra, research methodology, medical statistics, etc along with a six-month or one-year mandatory internship.
