PSEB 10th Passing Marks: Check PSEB Class 10 Passing Maximum and Minimum Marks

According to the Punjab School Education Board, a student must receive at least 33% of the possible marks in both theory and practical assessments to pass the PSEB 10th examination. A total of 650 marks are assigned to each subject that is part of the curriculum. Students have to sit for a total of 8 subjects in the PSEB Class 10 Exam 2025 including one optional subject. Students must pass six subjects from Group A and two subjects from Group B Students must pass six subjects from Group A and two subjects from Group B.

Students must receive at least 25% in each subject's theory paper in addition to the 33% overall grade. This will be reflected in the grades earned in group B studies. The grades earned in group B topics will be displayed on the marksheet.

The Punjab Board follows a seven-point grading scheme that evaluates student performance based on the scores obtained in the PSEB 10th Board Examinations.  The maximum grade attainable by a student is 'A+', corresponding to a score range of 91-100, while the minimum grade is 'D', associated with a score range of 0-40.

PSEB 10th Passing Marks 2025

Punjab School Education Board follows a new evaluation scheme in which students have to score at least 33% of possible marks in both theory and practical to clear the PSEB 10th exam. Additionally, to pass, students must receive at least 25% in each subject's theory paper. Group A and Group B subject-wise passing marks can be checked below:

Group A (Core Subjects)

Group A of the PSEB Class 10 curriculum consists of 6 core subjects, including Punjabi, English, Hindi, Urdu, Mathematics, Science, and Social Sciences. The total marks for each subject range from 65 to 80, with passing marks varying from 16.25 to 20. These subjects are compulsory for all students.

PSEB 10th Grading System 2025

The Punjab School Education Board follows a seven-point grading system with A+ being the highest grade while D being the lowest grade. More details can be checked below:

PSEB 10th Results 2025

The Punjab Board of Secondary Education (PSEB) will declare the PSEB Class 10 Result 2025 tentatively in April 2025. Students can view their PSEB 10th Results 2025 by visiting the official website pseb.ac.in.Below is a step-by-step guide explaining how to download the PSEB 10th Results 2025:

  • Step 1: First, visit PSEB's official website at pseb.ac.in.
  • Step 2: Next, click on the icon under the 'Result' tab on the homepage.
  • Step 3: Now, select the 'Secondary Examination Result 2025' tab.
  • Step 4: In the login window, type the Batch/Year and Roll number and submit
  • Step 5: PSEB 10th result 2025 will be displayed on your screen
  • Step 6: Print and save the result for further use.

PSEB 10th Passing Marks: Rechecking / Revaluation

Punjab Board Class 10 Rechecking/Revaluation will be done once the result is announced by the PSEB. Usually, there are cases where some students may not be happy with their marks. Students may think that they would have obtained more marks than are being given to them. Such students will now have the opportunity to recheck as the PSEB gives the option of result Rechecking/ Revaluation. Students can apply for Rechecking/Revaluation application online by using the PSEB portal on the official website https://pseb.ac.in/. 

Students can log in and complete the form by paying the fee. The result will be updated after the board resolves the applications. The Board takes around 10-15 days to release the updated result after checking the results of the eligible students.

PSEB 10th Passing Marks: Compartment Exams

According to the new evaluation criteria, 25% of the marks are needed to pass a subject whereas the student must achieve 33% as minimum aggregate marks in both theory and practicals to obtain the Punjab Board Passing Certificate. 

Students who have failed in one or two subjects in the exam will have the opportunity to sit for PSEB 10th Compartment Exam 2025.  Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will organize the PSEB 10th Supplementary Exam 2025 tentatively in August and September 2025. Following which results will be declared tentatively in the first week of October 2025 on the official website. PSEB 10th compartment registration window will be opened once the PSEB 10th result 2025 is declared.
