The Madhya Pradesh Board Class 12th exams will be held from 25 February 2025 to 25 March 2025. The MP board 12th grading system is a 9-point scale structure. In this grading system, the highest grade score is A+, demonstrating a mark range of 90 to 100. The lowest grade is E, demonstrating a mark range of less than 20.

Earlier, the minimum pass percentage was 33% for both practical and theory exams separately. But now, this criterion has changed. Currently, a student should get 30% in both theory and practical exams separately to pass that respective subject for the MPBSE 12th Class 12 Exam 2025. In terms of grades, a student must obtain at least a D+ grade to pass (marks range of 30 to 39).

MP Board 12th Grading System

The MP Board 12th grading system works on the 9-point scale structure. The grade points range from 9 to 1, and the grades range from A+ to E. For a particular subject, a student needs 30% marks to pass the theory exam and 30% marks to pass the practical exam. The minimum grade required to pass a subject is D+, which indicates a marks range of 30 to 39. If a student gets a D or an E grade then he/she will have to appear for the supplementary/improvement paper.

MP Board 12th Grading System: Passing Marks Criteria

Earlier the passing marks for the MP board class 12th were 33%. But now it has been changed to 30%. Hence, in a respective subject, a student must score 30% in the practical paper and 30% in the theory paper to pass that exam. When the theory paper is 80 marks, a student must get at least 24 marks to pass. And when the practical paper is 20 marks, one must get at least 6 marks to pass.

The total maximum marks for each subject are 100. Hence, if the aggregate is to be considered, then a student must score at least 30 marks out of 100 to pass a subject.
