For effective preparation, students must know the criteria for RBSE 10th passing marks 2025. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will conduct the class 10th exams from March 6, 2025, to April 4, 2025. The passing marks percentage for each subject under the RBSE 10th exam 2025 is 33%.

The RBSE 10th 2025 passing marks applies to both practical and theory papers separately. Hence, a student must get at least 33% in the theory paper and 33% in the practical exam. RBSE 10th Grading System Criteria 

The 5 core subjects in RBSE class Xth exams are English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. This exam works on a 9-point grading system where A1 is the highest grade score and E2 is the lowest grade score (means fail). To pass in a respective subject, it is necessary to obtain at least a D grade.

RBSE 10th grading system works on the 9-point scale. A1 is the highest grade score (marks range from 91 to 100, grade point 10) and E2 is the lowest grade score (marks range from 0 to 20, which means fail). To pass in a subject, a student must at least secure a D grade (marks range of 33 to 40, grade point 4).

RBSE 10th Exams and Passing Marks 2025: Important Instructions

Here are some fundamental points related to RBSE 10th exams and passing marks criteria. Check out the information discussed below - 

  • RBSE class Xth exams will be held from 6 March 2025 to 4 April 2025.
  • The exam duration will be 3 hours 15 minutes and the timings are from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM. 
  • The minimum pass percentage is 33% in each subject (100x33% = 33 marks). 
  • The passing marks for the theory paper are 33% of 80 = 26 marks.
  • The passing marks for the practical paper are 33% of 20 = 6 marks.
  • A student must get at least a D grade to pass each exam. The highest grade score is A1, while the lowest is E2 which means fail. 
  • After the declaration of results, if a student feels that there is any discrepancy in the marks then he/she can apply for re-evaluation. 
  • Those who fail in one or more subjects will be required to appear in the supplementary exam/compartment paper.  
  • Students who are unable to secure a minimum percentage of 33% will not be awarded the passing certificate by the RBSE board. 
  • To calculate the CGPA, students should combine the grade points of the 5 compulsory subjects and then divide the total value by 5. 
  • For calculating the percentage, the CGPA must be multiplied by 9.5. Let’s say a student has a CGPA 9. The percentage will be 9 x 9.5 = 85.5%.
