The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will release the NIOS registration form 2025 for all sessions on the official website. The registration form will be released in December 2025 (tentative) for session I and September 2025 (tentative) for session II.

Students should register themselves before the deadline to avoid the late fees. Moreover, candidates will have to pay INR 300 per subject. For the subjects that include practicals, students need to pay an extra INR 150 to register. 

Eligible candidates must register themselves to sit for the NIOS board exams. The details on the NIOS registration form must be filled out properly as the same will be reflected on their admit card.

NIOS Board Admission Form 2025

Applications and appropriate admission fees should reach the NIOS office within the stipulated time mentioned by the board. If the school fails to complete the application process within the stipulated time, it will have to pay an additional fine as prescribed by the NIOS board.

Beyond the final date, the NIOS board will entertain no further admission. Therefore candidates must register for the final board exam before the deadline via their respective schools and remit the appropriate admission fees. Students can also check their NIOS admission status on the open board official website.

NIOS Eligibility Criteria for Class 10th & 12th

Students must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the online NIOS admission form 2025 for classes 10th and 12th. Therefore, it is important to go through the following section to learn about the complete eligibility criteria for NIOS Secondary and Sr. Secondary courses.

NIOS Admission Eligibility Criteria for Class 10th:

  • Candidates must be 14 years of age by 31 Jul 2025.

NIOS Admission Eligibility Criteria for Class 12th:

  • Applicants must be 15 years of age as of 31 Jul 2025.
  • Students must have passed the secondary exam.

Documents Required for NIOS Admission Form 2025

Candidates have to send the scanned copy/soft copy (jpg, jpeg files) of the following documents, which will be required to be uploaded while filling NIOS admission form 2025:

  1. Recent passport-size colored photographs
  2. Signature (preferably in black ink)
  3. Valid identity proof (like Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Ration card)
  4. Valid proof of Date of Birth
  5. A valid proof of residence
  6. Class 8th mark sheet or Self Certificate (in case of secondary course) and class 10th mark sheet (if applicable)
  7. Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  8. Disability Certificate (if applicable)

NIOS Public Exam 2025 Fee Dates

The board will announce the fee payment dates for the class 10th and 12th students for all sessions on the official website. Moreover, The fee is to be paid only through online mode by visiting the NIOS website. The tentative fee dates and other related information are given below for the student's reference.
