Bihar Board 12th Grading System 2025: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducted the 12th board exams in February 2025. The exams were conducted between February 1 to 15, 2025. The results of these exams were declared on 25th March, 2025 at 1:15 p.m.

The Bihar board grading system consists of a nine-grade scale from A1 to F. This article provides all the details related to the Bihar Board 12th Grading System 2025.
The Bihar Board 12th Grading System is decided by the Bihar School Examination Board. According to the grading system of the Bihar board, students are allotted grades between A1 and F. There are a total of nine grades in the Bihar Board 12th Grading system, ranging from A1 to F. A1 is the highest grade which can be allotted to a student, and F is the lowest grade.
The grades are allotted to a student based on the total marks received by the student. The students must get a minimum grade of E to pass the board exams. Students getting a grade F are considered as failures. The following table describes the Bihar Board 12th grading system 2025 in detail:

The Bihar Board 12th Grading System also consists of divisions. Apart from the grades, the students are also allotted divisions according to the total marks received by them. The Bihar Board Division system can be explained by the following pointer.
Students are expected to get a minimum grade of E to pass the exams. Thus. The passing mark for the Bihar Board 12th exams is 33%. Students must attain a minimum of 33% in all the subjects and 30% as aggregate percentage to pass. The total marks are calculated based on marks received in both theory and practical exams. If a student receives marks less than 33% or a grade F, he/she will be considered a fail.

The grades received by the students will also be mentioned in the marksheet of the student. The students will get their original marksheet in April 2025 (tentatively) from their respective schools. The students must check that their details, like name, roll number, marks, etc., are correct. If any of the information is incorrect, the student must write an application and submit it along with the required documents to their respective school authorities. The revised marksheet will be released soon after.
If a student is not able to get passing marks in one or more subjects, he/she can apply for the compartment exams. The Bihar board will conduct the compartment exams from 19th April, 2025 to 11th May, 2025 (tentatively). The date sheet for the compartment exams will be released on the official website of the Bihar board biharboardonline.gov.in. The students must attain passing marks in compartment exams otherwise they will have to give the board exams again in the following academic year.
